How We’ve Grown

We’ve grown over the years – and not just vegetables. The Society was founded in 1891 and since then has held over 125 annual shows that have welcomed generations of local gardeners, handicraft makers and visitors.

We hold our annual show in late summer in the Lane End Village Hall. It’s open to local exhibitors and visitors from far and wide. We have a wide range of classes to enter – ranging from vegetables and flowers through to cooking, handicrafts and art.  Children have their own sections which they can enter for free and their own prizes.  Take a look at our Show Schedules and Entry Forms above and see if there’s anything that you or your kids would like to enter – you never know, you or they may win one of our cups or monetary prizes!
